| Hi Jenni, i thought i'd write a review of your advice piece, to try to give you some honest, and hopefully helpful feedback. Firstly, the tone of your writing is very kind and warm. i think you succeed in your effort to welcome a male into our girly-girl world. i also think that a lot of the advice you give is very good, especially for the beginner. Although i didn't exactly agree with everything you wrote, i did agree with most of it, at least as it applies to teenagers anyway. One thing that i did think could have been different was your advice that "you can go short, or you can go tight, but you have to choose one or the other". Well, i wear minidresses like they're going out of style, and most are both short and tight; that's the idea! Also, i love a tight miniskirt that comes down to three or four inches above my knees; the more form-fitting, the better! And with such a mini, what goes better than a tight angora sweater? Or a halter-top? Or, if you're an A or a B cup, how about a tee that's one or maybe even two sizes too small? i understand if you felt you were writing for the teen set, because the rules are perhaps a bit different for them. However, those of us a few years past high school do tend to play by a different set of rules where "tight and short" are concerned. Please don't think i'm being overly critical; i am really trying hard not to be. All of your advice was, i thought, very sweet and well-intended. If i had a daughter (or a male child who identified with the opposite gender), i'd certainly want them to read everything you wrote. Well, i'm probably droning on at this point, so i'll just finish by saying that overall, i liked your take on entering the feminine world! Perhaps next time, you could share your thoughts and pointers about what life is like for we girly-girls who are over twenty-one? Hugs, Miss Trishia |
