| I really enjoy this story, but...in the first story, when the husband and wife have spent some time in each other's bodies, they start to acquire the memories associated with the body they're in. However, this time there's no sign of that! Pity, as it'd be fun to see the new Amanda slowly remembering more and more of the knowledge she needs as a teacher. One especially good thing: many psychologists say that in a healthy relationship between a man and a woman, there is some desire to BECOME the other person. This permanent swap of bodies could be seen as sort of the ultimate consummation of a marriage! Tom desires Amanda so completely that he agrees to wear her body, answer to her name, live the rest of her life instead of his own life, BE Amanda as much as possible -- and likewise for her. Viewed in that way, it's all deeply romantic, and not as kinky as it first may seem. The two must really like their original selves and bodies as well, to be able to enjoy them from the vantage point of their new ones. |

| What a great story with lots of intrigue, interplay and a decent plot-line. My main interest in the Napoleonic wars comes from reading CS Forester's Hornblower stories, primarily because sailing ships interest me. However, I have little knowledge of the historical facts but the way they are woven into the fabric of the story certainly adds verisimilitude. I was slightly surprised when the identity of the transgender individual was revealed, despite her ancestry! Thanks R |
