| Nobody should ever be criticised for wanting to push boundaries. However, the quality of the pushing is certainly open for review. There are two problems with this story, as far as I can see. The first is that it reads like a checklist - amputation, tick, scat, tick, corsets, tick, latex, tick... In particular, the scat element seems to have been added as a result of a magic 8-ball, not for any plot purposes. The second problem is even more serious - this story is told from the wrong viewpoint. It should be told from the victim's view. At the moment, it's shallow and lacks any kind of drama beyond a distasteful stomah churning. |

| This story is fantastic. Jack's changes, particularly his subtle mental alterations and the focus on his breasts, make for one of the most erotic stories I've read on Fictionmania for quite some time. A few things are unclear, but not annoyingly so, and even seems to comment on Barbi's new attitudes. I eagerly await more! |

| Unlike Sophie no issues at all with the underage and incest. This is without question one of the most powerful and affecting multi-part stories on the site, and the author is a major talent. We can only hope there will be a Cody return at some point. Two masterpieces of the highest order. |

| Thanks for the thoughts reb; I am a little surprised that there are not more comments like yours. I mean after all, the point of the story is that we spend pages and pages setting up a character who is super-sympathetic fm everyman, only to reveal that he is in fact a delusional serial killer at the end. In terms of the holocaust bit, I guess that you should be somewhat relieved that the character who used images of the Shoah (the hebrew word for the holocaust -- that should tell you something about the person responsible for this post) gets killed himself. But back to your main point -- if you are expecting a simple fictionmania love fest that is written in a style more fitting usa today than the new yorker -- you will be really disappointed. thanks for taking the time to make this comment, but as far as your comment about seeming rushed at the end, in fact the opposite is true. The key to a plot twist is to present it quickly, then get the hell out of there. |
