| Not bad, but I see some basic flaws. 1) Why not just ask the parents ahead of time? That way there'd be no guessing about how they'd react. If I were the parent, I would NOT want a fake Laurie back. 2) How will the Parents explain Laurie back from the grave? 3) What a tease to mention the one month note and then not reveal what it said. |

| A Time Too Late To Heal is the most profound story I have read on the net, ever. The main driving force behind the story is the plot, not the TG elements of the story. Too often authors make the TG element the center-piece, and ignore true story and character building elements. Not so in this case. It is filled with the natural struggle for freedom in a society where the only accessible means to freedom is to lower oneself to slavery. The religious themes and metaphors add a distinct, creative edge to the story, giving it an emotional connection to the reader so often absent in TG stories. The TG element itself is done in a new way, examining how the psychological effects of such a change can help cause a splintering of ones psyche, even towards what one considers most precious. All in all, even if this story isn't read as much as some others, it should be considered a classic for its creativity. |
