I liked how you did most of it, but you might think about putting in at least a bit about how the blue eyes do that to Sean, and maybe involve his girlfriend. | Dear Monica -- You have made a really fine start with your first Ficmania entry! I'm in a similar position of wanting to publish, yet always seeming to get in my own way, by making my plots and detailed TG-learning processes at the heart of the stories much too complicated. In scanning the new materials quickly today, I thought a quick empathetic response would interest you since you asked for them...I've printed the text out to read tonight at home. If you've noticed the more than 15 other reviews I'v entered for my favorite FM writers, you'll get a feel for the sort of story I like best (see V. Tern, Peta Wilson, J E Hendrickson, Amy Brett, B. Peters, K E Johnson, and the lovely Jan Stickney review sections ...). Yours has a delightful twist, it's positive and also not too over the top toward crazy fantasy. The way you go fully into the inner feelings of the characters exploring their cross-gendered lives and physiques, is unusually well done and makes these people very appeal- ing to me. The last point: By exploring these character changes in the context of 'what it used to be like' for each onebefore the changes, offers a wonderful variant on the common notion of becoming more aware of othere 'by walking a mile in their moccasins'We the readers can also learn rich lessons of how the other halves live, etc. Please do more--you'll get better and better, I'm certain.
