| This was a really sweet story. Well written, with nicely thought-out and fleshed out characters. Good to see an ending where everyone is happy. Also, loved the mother's character...what a woman! And Stan came around. If there is any character that could have been tweaked a little more, it should have been Johnny/Joanie. I was left wondering even more what he/she was feeling as she changed. I would have liked to have seen more of the transition right after the change, and when the identity papers, etc. made official the change. Have the new "her" be a little more introspective and thoughtful...but that's just my opinion! Good work! Perhaps a sequel, with Stan *and* Joanie graduated from med school, and getting hitched?
