| i completely disbelieve this. And here is why: Sadly, in many parts of the world, life is cheap. And woman's lives are cheaper. In India, the population favors men, like in many other countries, and the ratio is close to 54% or so. Frequently, the female infants are starved to death, or drowned. In India, there is still the tradition of dowrys, and they are fiercely expensive. there are few stories i find offensive, because most of them are fantasies, matter of will, or mistakes stupid males (like me) get themselves into. This however, purports to be a real event, made to a real person, as real news, that cannot have really happened. This is a stupid story, and evil. In the sad reality of some countries, this young boy would have been far more valuable as simply good labor. And in a country like India, with their caste system, and high valuation of males over females, this would not ever happen. This is fake, or fantasy, and i would have preferred it presented that way, in some sort of futuristic society or something. |

| Is the name Susan used because of the Asimov character Dr. Susan Calvin? And some mention of: if Susan can think I want this, it can also think of 'he needs to lose weight, no food for 3 weeks' or similar. This could have taken quite the scary turn. |
