| This now seems a lot like AshleyTS's "The Softening of Jessie" due to the obvious brainwashing that must be going on. However, you don't tell us anything about that. We basically know the Who? and What?. When? appears to be the present, and Where? isn't all that important. What we don't know that IS important is How? and, even more important, Why?. In Ashley's story the reason is obvious and stated: Jessie is a thouroughly nasty boy headed for jail, and mom is willing to try this tough love feminizing cure. Danny, on the other hand, is written as just a normal boy, so we feel he really doesn't deserve what is being done to him; his mind is being violated for no good reason (or, to be fair, I suppose it could be for a good reason we don't know about yet.) It's obvious by how he is written that it would be extremely difficult if not impossible to get him to become a girl and liking it and the person doing it to him without brainwashing. (The use of physical force or some other non-mind altering method would have him hating it and the person who did it to him.) My guess is that her husband's death has driven mom insane so that she doesn't see what she is doing as abuse. She NEEDS her child to fill the gap and that can only happen, in her mind, if her child is her daughter; she has probably rationalized that it is for "Denise's" own good. I was kind of disappointed that Vic's role ended. Before this chapter, I was sort of hoping she had lesbian tendencies and would like a more feminine Danny, but after this chapter, I hoped she would care enough about Danny to realize that he wouldn't act as he was of his own free will and want to help him. I don't usually root for the male being feminized to return to being a boy, but Danny - at least given what we know about him - doesn't deserve having his mind violated. |
