| Altered Fates: Family Matters Details |
| This is a story that I remember enjoying back in the early days of my exploration of the net. What I like about it is that the transformation is done with manipulation and trickery, not force. Forced fem stories have always rated very low with me. But there was always the problem for me to understand why Chrissy goes undercover at the end and lets Barbara foist the ridiculous job of a receptionist off on him. Why has he changed his identity? Why does he accept this sort of work? Why does he act like it is up to Barbara to give him permission to do anything, such as a sex change operation. I was hoping that this draft would fix or explain that, but it doesn't. If he was at least wanted by the law, it would explain his change of identity, but this doesn't seem to be the case. And other good idea would have been to let Barbara modify his bahavior with sleep-teaching recordings, as is done in a similarly clever (but yet imperfect) story that I remember, "Amy's World" by Lawhead. Like Chrissy, the feminization of the boy is not forced, but us done by trickery. And it also leads to a "voluntary" sex-change operation. This is where Chrissy is leading, but unfortunately doesn't go. It's too bad the story wasn'te extended from the old version, or a sequel written, featuring how Chrissy fares as a secretary and a physiological woman. The first time the newly-female Chrissy is cozened into a storage room with a lusty office buck would have made a good scene. This story provids some good ideas that should inspire others to do non-forced feminization stories, but as it stands, it still gives this reader problems. |
