| Hi Candy, Sorry there was a gap of a day – it was my fault. I had the chapter written on time but I wanted to include the cover illustration that chloeK posted for me on the message board and unfortunately I had something of a blonde moment when I tried to figure out how to include it in the upload. The instructions are quite clear on the author's help page but I seemed to have been in bimbo mode and got a couple of things wrong. Thankfully Talea contacted me to point out what I was doing wrong and how to fix it. Original Duck: once again i'm having to bite my tongue to give any form of reply to your speculation/suggestion (though thanks again for making it as I love that sort of post here!), except to say I do actually have an epilogue planned, which amongst other things will finally answer who Emma is writing her account for (it's already clear she herself doesn't know who it is). I have the inevitable fates mapped out for most of the main characters – some good, some bad, some bitter sweet – Emma, Kurgus, Brinn, Seremides, Erin, Jacinta, Tallia in particular, and it'll be interesting if people guess closer to the time what's going to happen to them all. One thing that is bizarre is the number of 'hits' this chapter has had in the 12 hours it has been online (especially since it's a period of the day when everyone in the USA is probably asleep). Ordinarily by this time of 'day, a newly uploaded chapter of my serial has usually clocked up somewhere in the region of 280 hits, but this chapter has clocked up 1,667 which is so outside the usual average that it's left me a bit puzzled (though in a good way). Are people going back and re-reading this one a lot? Or what? I'm genuinely interested to know. Is it the sex scene between Brinn and Emma that's doing it? Whatever it is, there's obviously something about this chapter that I should repeat in future! ;) - Emma x |
