| In general, I liked the story. However, it did seem that Lori just suddenly, in the space of a few sentences, goes from being a loving wife to one who has quite the ulterior motive. There didn't seem to be enough background development of the story for the reader to better understand why she would want to do that to Carl. The only clue is that they have been trying to have a child for the past three years--so I assume that she decides to feminize him out of frustration. Otherwise, the slow change aspect of the story was done well, and it made for an enjoyable read. This author has done a number of stories that handle the slow change aspect quite well, and this story is another that illustrates the author's skills in portraying such changes. Thanks for sharing. |

| “Guardian Angel” is an excellent short story and I really enjoyed it. Without giving away the plot, I will say that it is developed well. The main character is very well drawn. His feelings and emotional state is clearly conveyed. There is dramatic tension as we watch the two principal characters grow and overcome very different challenges. There is a definite and satisfying conclusion, and the reader is not left hanging. In other words, this is the work of Morpheus! |
