My nerdy friend Doug caught me in my sister's clothes. Now I have to be his date at his office party or he'll tell everyone.

12 years late! Thak you for the reviews. Yes, Jennifer is an arrogant character. And yes, the women in this era seem to be able to get away with things that men can't today, or in 2002 when I wrote this. In my mind's eye, the reversals in this society had changed things to the point where it wasn't a reversal of men's and women's roles as they are today. But more like a situation where men's and women's roles were similar to what existed in the 60s or 70s, only reversed. Jennifer is an alpha female in a society where women are decision makers and aggressors. She is used to getting what she wants and taking charge. She's never had a problem getting what she wanted from the opposite sex due to her strong personality and place in society. She is kind of the Don Draper of the story, though he didn't exist when I wrote it. She bristles angrily at suggestions of sexism and is convinced women vastly outnumber men in her profession because there just happen to be more qualified women. But she shows her true colors when she refers to men as "airheads" or talks about them "burying their pretty little heads in fashion magazines". If I could do one thing all over again, I would add another female character to balance Jennifer, one who treats men better and has more respect for them. I had two male characters, one was somewhat of a bimbo, but the other was a decent guy who had a professional career and seemed to be holding his own in a female dominated workplace. I probably should have had another female character to contrast with Jennifer. So I certainly agree with the critiques of Jennifer and what she seems to get away with. She is a jerk because I wrote her that way. But the story was already pretty long and adding another character would have made it longer. I'm sure it was already longer than 90% of the people on this site like.

I liked this story, as I'm a sucker for happy endings. I really liked this story, as I am a sucker for happy endings. I wonder, though, if that ending doesn't send a bad message. Is it really wise to have SRS to please someone else? Brian is not written as a TS; quite thge opposite. He is written as enjoying being a guy, no thoughts of having been born the wrong sex/gender. He doesn't make the choice to be Roberta for Roberta's sake, but so that HE can stay in a sexual relationship with Brenda - and it IS about sex, as Brenda clearly stated that they could remain best friends, simply no sex, if he went back to Robert. Robert says he makes all the decisions of his own free will, which is true, but his motivation is not to be "herself" but to stay with Brenda. That at the final hormone confrontation, he only agreed, very reluctantly, to remain female for her. What if something had happened to Brenda shortly after he had gone too far to go back to being a normal male?

Very well done! Normally I don't take the time to add a review and it's only because the story was so well written and the storyline so well developed that I must do it now. I wonder if anyone would be able to make a movie out of something like this. It would certainly be something different than the ordinary diet of Hollywood stunt and special effects laden films. How often do you see anything made these days that hasn't been done a hundred times? If done with the same kind of care that was used to create the story it could be a fantastic success I would think!
