| First of all I liked the story. The set up was good. I liked the way the "victim" was trapped into cooperating. The transformation itself, and the way the character tried to deal with being a little girl was quite enjoyable. The only real problem I had with the story is that it seemed to change directions about 2/3 of the way through. The introduction of a more sinister plot, while well done, didn't seem to fit with the setup. Like the author had 2 slightly different stories stuck together. Still, it makes up for any inconsistencies by the strong sense of knowing what the character is thinking and feeling. A sense that gets better as the story moves along. |

| This is a well-written story, which actually stays pretty "real" to the original story, while still offering the nice little variation. Only thing I would have done was come up with a different title. I am concerned that people putting in "Scrooge" in a search engine looking for stories related to "Christmas Carol" will find this, and be upset with what they get. Maybe a good title for this would have been "A Christmas 'Carol' for Scrooge", an obvious "pun" on the inevitable outcome of the story. Just a thought, - Paula |

| I just finsihed reading Texas Gal and enjoyed the whole story. It was a nice change of pace to read the slow changes to Darla in your story and I can't wait for the next part. I hope too see the whole cast return in part two despite the sad ending so far. Also I loved the way Darla relates to the twins and hope to see more with her and them. Also Darla in for some nice changes now that the Doctor has given her a way to stay around longer. How much longer until part two is comlete? J |
