By now you should know that Anonymous Writer's stories feature rather nasty villainesses who'd deserve prison. That's why I think I like them, and yes they're a bit over-the-top once in a while. But this one is once again well told if you like a guy tied helplessly by gals scene. We'll keep on reading you, Anonymous Writer.

What a wonderful story. Absolutely excellent. Great images, this author is a tremendous talent and clearly a total sissy!

I decided to read this tale because of comments made on the Hyperboard and I'm glad I did. The language is flowing and descriptive to a reasonable but not excessive degree and you paint a picture well. I can't decide whether the characterization at the beginning was too long for the length of the tale or really necessary for the story; the story seeming to be equal parts action/adventure D&D and a character study. In any case, I was impatient for the story to get started. That, however, was pretty minor. The way you handled the interplay with the characters and the description of the Aragnatha countryside was well done. I especially enjoyed Nightshade, although I could have wished for a more intimate dialogue with Phil - they seemed to only feel each other's presence rather than interact. Other than the odd exchange of knowledge, only occasionally could one truly feel the influence of one on the other. One thing that did distract was Carl - I had problems getting a handle on his character. It seemed that he should have had more presence being a demi-God and all... There was an undercurrent of preachyness. Tilara's half-elf, Drad-Mar's half-orc, the total capitulation on the principal in his office, suddenly promising to make the school safe, Michael and Angie's problems in school and with themselves all had a theme of intolerance. Some of it had to do with their characters, but that's a lot of instances of intolerance in one short story! I thought, too, that Tilara being jealous of Kulnak was without foundation. Their instant romantic attraction in Aragnotha wasn't intuitive and why should Kulnak have recognized Tilana's attraction to him? Their relationship on Earth wasn't THAT close. Some really good things: Michael's fight in the cafeteria was great - a powerful message and a gratifying outcome from his coexistence with Tilara. The fight scenes were good although it annoyed me that Carl and Phil kept missing those damn werewolves with their pistols permitting the rest to die. Their shooting really sucked, IMHO, and hardly contributed to an appearence of heroism on Phil or Carl's part. One memorable imige was when the goblins hovered over Nightshade and plunged their daggers into her. That was a rather nasty description of evil. Yum! The ending didn't leave me completely flat, but it could have ended with more of a bang. All of them were now in Aragnatha with very uncertain futures. All this seems like a lot of criticism, but I liked the story a lot. It moved right along after the lengthy character intros and It reminded me a good deal of the Guardian of the Flame series by Joel Rosenberg (I recommend it if you haven't read it). The bottom line is "The Gate to Aragnatha" isn't perfect (what is?), but well worth the read.

Superb, the psychological side of the domiation is told so well. I love stories where the female's enjoyment of her power is portrayed - more PLEASE with Nina getting pushed as far as humanly possible - this woman would not stop here !
