| What an incredibly well-written story, Patty! I found myself more interested in the people than in the action, a sure sign of a great story. Even the slow parts, perhaps especially the slow parts, were exciting, filled with tension, and always mixed with the calming embrace of nature. It was like Mother Nature herself was seducing Pat into become herself. Alyssa herself could be Mother Nature, symbolically or in a visitation, coming to earth to turn Pat toward her true self. And it's so nice to read a story that, so far as I could tell, did not have a single usage error in it! We all make mistakes, but they can be so distracting in otherwise delightful stories on FM. Your story was transparent. No distractions, just a clear picture of the characters falling in love in their way. I hope you plan to continue it, but even if you stop here, I say without hesitation that it's one of the top five stories I've read on FM. A sweet verisimilitude is the reason, I guess. Thank you so much for sharing! |
