While they didn't bury Ken, they most certainly did Kill him. Sheila has no idea she was once Ken, and if they told her, they'd made it so she would neither fully comprehend the news nor remember it. Sheila lives - sort of - but Ken is gone. Identity death is death. Also, I agree with other reviewers. Ken's not BEING punished. He WAS punished, now he's just dead. The parents are not sadists. Letting Sheila retain some memory of being Ken but knowing she's stuck as she is, retaining the ability to feel arousal but being unable to do anything about it, for their and their daughters pleasure in revenge, those would be long term torture and sadistic.
