I really wanted to like this story, I really did. But the author's lack of care in writing (even bragging about it, as if bad writing is a good thing) made this a difficult read, it really did. The protagonist's "thoughts" and speeched to "himself" were the worst, and made it impossible to follow. This is a case where the author didn't care about his readers, and it shows. If there was ever a case of a great idea in need of some careful editing and re-writing, this would be the one.
