I love this story! With the possible exception of The Professor’s Ovid series (which isn’t really one continuous story), this is, by far, the best long story in FM. Great character development, and excellent plot with many twists, make it very worthwhile. Please keep writing, Itinerant!

very good story outside the usual with terrific dialogue all the way through which is one of your strengths. the ambiguity at the end is well played also. have to say it has the same kind of will-won't he that ended the classic bella tale the incentive.
