| When two writers whose work I love already collaborate on a story I'm glad to see that the meshing of their ability is not merely additive but exponential. This was a wonderful piece of work. The characters ring true although I believe that a _little_ more depth in exploring some of their motivational changes wouldn't have hurt any. The story is great and in true comic fashion has ended with a demi-cliffhanger. There is obviously so much more that could be written here. And I would _love_ to see it. I know that both of these wonderful writers are already producing 10 times as much copy as I am and then some, so it's shameful for me to beg _them_ to work harder. But I just love to read... ;-) This story does a great job of illustrating a trend that I am glad is becoming a little more prevalent in today's TG fiction. Now this is merely a matter of my own preferences, and I still like stories that don't fit this mold, but... It seemed that for a while too much of the otherwise good T*fiction was concentrating solely on the transformational or fetish(please excuse the colloquial rather than exact use of the term)aspects(such as D/S, Sexual experimentation, etc.) of the potential story rather than examining the emotional and societal consequences inherent in such activity. I still can enjoy stories of that type for their own qualities but I like the change of pace and depth of feeling that these more...I don't know quite what word I'm looking to use here...real, I guess for lack of other words, stories give. With a story like this I don't feel that I'm watching a play or tv show. I feel that I'm being given a glimpse of or even drawn into another reality somewhere. And for me that's what the essence of story-telling is all about. Both of the authors rank high on my list of favorites because they do that for me consistently in a large portion of their stories. | A good story, and although I agree that it's not one of The Professor's best works, the top-quality writing alone makes it well worth reading. However, two little glitches sort of bothered me, especially coming form someone who has such high standards: 1) the incorrect use of the word 'waive' instead of 'wave', which occurred in at least 2 instances; 2)referring to the drug dealers as 'Columbians', when the correct term should have been 'Colombians'(as in 'natives of Colombia'). In any case, I'm a big fan of The Professor, and reading any new story from this author is always a welcome experience. |

| Thats what I like about your stories, the (mostly) happy ending. Although it might be nice to show a bit more emotion/reaction to what should be a stressful situation. I would have expected the guy to have more problems dealing with his wifes demands, more problems with people he meets and lastly perhaps a bit more remose from the wife having now to live with her new creation. But I understand that these things are the mostly the case in the universe that the story is set. For those of you who don't like the plot, and claim to know ahead that the plot never changes, why do you read it? Maybe one of those more harsh stories where everyone abuses a child by making him be sissy girl in public as some sort of punishment, and of course everyones in on it. The more abuse the better. I don't see too many people whinning about the lack of reality there. Anyway,there was a hint of another story, I'm looking forward to it. |
