i liked the story. i would have liked to see it go a bit longer with the other girls checking out books. Would they turn into boys or men or females??? maybe they come up after dinner and bring some modern books to try? more can be done here and I'd like to see you do more! the ending was neat, but perhaps too neat. The old gent has appeared in an awful lot of stories making it seem a bit pat and expected once you read it. not bad but perhaps a less used character maybe a storyteller of great fame from literature? very good overall though if too short. make it longer and I'd give it an A+ !!!

Well written story with a good plot which keeps you somewhat in suspense as to what's going to happen next. This is not your "Run of the mill story", it's a little differen't which is good. Keep up the good work RH Music!!

What an interesting concept. I enjoyed the story, but found it a bit sterile. Like someone had spied inside Ralph's mind and written it down then read it aloud without emotion. We "hear" the emotion being described, but don't feel it. I don't know how to fix this but some do it better than others. Telling a story from the third person omniscient is difficult to put across the emotions of the characters. Perhaps its like a screen play. The actions of the characters portray their actions so much more than saying "he was so afraid". Try "he sobbed uncontrollably as he tried to control the razor in a hand that was shaking with fear" or " 'Its just so I can escape.' he chanted like a mantra to himself as he struggled to control his hands that trembled with his fear..." hugs, Danielle.
