I thought the character of Steve/Stevie was very well done. You resisted the temptation to draw the "old" Steve as a caricature of the "evil male," and instead gave him some redeeming self awareness and remorse that discourage the reader from immediately rejecting him. Then, the change in Stevie's attitude and his/her self-discovery were handled, I thought, quite skillfully within the framework of this short piece. And within the relatively short length of the story, I thought you did a lot with character -- even if there was no detailed description of the female underwear . Amy was well drawn, and emerged as much more complex than I would have expected. I do agree with Elaine, though, that you left us hungry for more detail and perhaps a more realistic view of what life -- post surgery -- might have been like for Adele. But what the hell...Some stories that all of us found most memorable all ended the same way: "And they all lived happily ever after." Thanks and keep writing. ......Tamara Rand.

Double Your Pleasure     Details
The quality is brilliant as always and overall it was quite enjoyable. You manage to place and element of loving within the story and that's often overlooked in stories like this. However, you pull this off just about better than anyone else. I often find myself identifying with both the protagonist AND the women who control them in your stories, however there was one thing the stuck on with me in this. The wicked entrapment within the story just felt hollow. In the end, he was punished for doing everything asked of him in an effort to please. While the need to please is VERY much something I'm used to seeing in your stories, this time it seemed a bit more cruel. It's very different than what I've seen from your work. I'm glad you took the time to grace us with another one of your wonderful works. I look forward to seeing the next one.
