Kelly: As a transgendered soul myself, your real-life story touched me deeply. What a wonderful gift from you to our community...and such a refreshing departure from a lot of the current TG fare. With all the highs we reach...and the fantasies that divert us from our inevitable lows...it's sobering, yet wonderful to be once again grounded in the reality that is our day to day existence. Thank you for this inspired work! Keri R.
Looking Back At My First Time     Details
a good easy to follow story with a amusing ending.

1. Overall I would have to say this is a story definitely worth anyone's time to read. I know my criticisms are long but the story is real good, maybe even great. It just needs editorial help. 2. Kudos: Excellent plot development. Slow but good character development. I really look forward to seeing the next chapter. 3. Criticisms: A. The only complaint/question I can possibly come up with as far as plot, is that no attempt has been made to contact/determine their children. They have fuel and vehicles in good working order. England is not so big that you could not drive from one end to the other and back in a day easily. I know, I have done it. B. Constant use of "where" for "were" and visa versa, a few other homophones (and near homophones) also misused but not badly. C. Words were occasionally omited where the author apparently backed up and re-wrote a portion of the story. D. I do not know if the author is from the British Isles but the story is placed there and most of the use of terms like bonnet, boot, bum, torch, etc. give it a feeling of authenticity. E. There are constant run on sentences as several others have mentioned. I did not find this nearly so much of a problem as the distinct lack of punctuation within them. This more than anything else I found made the story hard to read. I kept having to re-read lines and decide where thoughts changed, where pauses in the flow were required. (I am one of those that silently sounds in my head each word read, bad reading habit I know but I do.) F. Statements by the characters were not included within quotation marks. That with the lack of other punctuation and occasional omission of words caused confusion for me. D. Why did the author bother to include as detailed descriptions of sex. The story stands well on its own. Well maybe I am just a bit old fashioned. A great story does not need sex to sell it, but then I am not the author. 4. Other comments: A. One interesting thing for a story so poorly executed, I did not notice any glaring cases of "change of tense" within a paragraph, let alone sentences or clauses. B. Due to the size of this manuscript, I would recommend several editors. I say editors because of story length, amount of work required to polish the story, and types of work required to polish the story. Each given as much of the story as is finished and assigned a section to proof. If only one person is proofing it, it would probably take months. (That would be just to add punctuation, capitalization at the start of sentences, created by that punctuation, and correct spelling, especially of the homophones and near homophones.) The re-writing (and verifying with the author) places where the author changed direction in mid-statement would take even longer. C. I would gladly be one of the editors.

I can only echo the other reviews. Great job of story telling. Way to go Caleb and Raven! The first part has descriptions that are easy to visualize. Please keep up the excellent writing.
