First off,I have no idea what "anointers" means, but I gather from context that it must be something akin to further interest. In that regard, I would like to hear more with two caveats: first, your writing tends to meander and you have several run-on sentences. You had some exciting ideas here but you didn't generate much excitement. This story was a lot like you were having a conversation with someone. Hence I would love to see more interesting writing and more careful editing. With that said, I think the story you have to tell is incredibly important. You are talking about what a girl or woman goes through in a normal life. While I have nothing against the Saturday night effervescence, also known as clubbing, it is hardly similar to real life. As someone explained it to meyears ago, picking out a pretty bra fpor Saturday night isn't quite the same thing as hunting for a clean one on Monday morning. There are a lot of exciting about normal life. It isn't quite a fantasy but it does serve a great purpose.
Just Being A Girl     Details
Wow, over 80 comments. That must be some kind of record. And I'm sure what I have to say has been said before, but O2bxx, you earned it. This was a terrific read. It's a wonderfully well constructed story and pleasingly told from the first person perspective. I loved the role of running in Jack/Stephanie's life; it made her unique in a special way. The nanobots was a very neat turn here as well. I also liked the constantly upbeat mood and Jack's ironic take on himself and what was happening to him. Having said all that, here are my criticisms. May they serve you well in your next effort. The scene with the principal was bizarre, at best. Spontaneous orgasms? I don't think so. Depite the legnth of this story, everyting happened very fast. In general, things were too neat. Stephanie is like a saint and her friends more supportive and understanding than is easily believable. They all seemed a bit two dimensional as a result. The attempted rape, which was of course broadcast almost from the outset of the story, was intense, but Steph was saved too easily and predictably. You seem to like to explain everything. You describe a mood and then tell us what the mood was. Really, you don't have to do that. I don't want to continue on and perhaps give someone the impression I didin't think this was a wonderful story, but if you want to discuss the writing further drop me a line.

As usual, Eric, you've done it again! Well written, and a nice tale... *but*... I dunno, the rather abrupt, and kinda sorrid ending left me...empty. I'm finding that as time goes on, I'm enjoying your longer stories more. At least we get some raison d'etre when things go wrong... Still, a good story!
The Fall     Details
A fun, well-thought out story. I liked the way you had the kids from all the different shows going to the same school. As far as the "incest" part, aren't there stories that the actor who played Greg Brady actually did sleep with Florence Henderson? And every other female in the cast, maybe even Alice?
