| Definitely one of the better stories I've read in a long time. Once started, I could not "put it down". Teared up a bit, too. Some of the conclusions are revealed if you look close enough. That's okay. I did wonder how two nice people like Sven and William were going to be treated. They did not deserve a let down. There is definitely a story here from their perspective and it`should be told. |

| What a joy it is to see Brandy return to these pages! All the superlatives that you would apply to any genuinely talented author fit so comfortably when speaking of Brandy's work. Rich, detailed plots populated with 'real' characters - crisp prose and brisk pacing ... on and on. It's all here. But what sets Brandy's work heand and shoulders above the rest, what makes it always a joy to read, is the spirit with which she infuses her tales. ('Tails' - okay, the pun is getting old but darn it, it's just irresistable.) More often than not, when I read the works of other writers as they undertake some of the themes that Brandys addresses with the Xora series, I find my brows knitting in a frown and my lips curling in what amounts to a sneer. It's always so mean-spirited and tawdry. But with Brandy, the sense of just plain mischievous fun that she breathes into her stories is just so irrestible, you can't help but surrender to a wicked little grin. So, treat your self to a grin and read this story! PJ |
