| Wow! This is a very nice story. I liked the concept of changing reality to an alterate one in which some things remain constant, but are given a twist that comes out to a happy conclusion for everyone in the end, instead of the pain and heartache that befell them in the original reality. I myself have always had 'what if' types of thoughts, and this struck a chord in me. If only I could have a similar 'what if' change happen to me.... :) |

| Congrat Kim, I am of the mind that it's no subtle hell to live a life where you can never be at home in your own skin. It's the bad news that comes from that line in the movie "Buckroo Bonsai"... "Wherever you go... there you are..." I did only slightly better than you... I knew by the time I was 12 that I needed to "Get the hell out of this stinking skin suit!", and had it driven home at the end of serious beating from childhood until highschool. It really was get out of my manness or get out of this life. I went so deep into denial, that Cleopatra would never find me. I was the first born son in an Asian family and giving the honor of number one son to my little brother was just a not a possibility. In the end I couldn't fight the tidal force of my heart, the gravity of my soul. I transitioned finally 10 years ago when I turned 35. I've been postop now for 8 years. I am at home in this skin. I am alive, not just by virtue of my biology, but by virtue of my spirit. Trust me love... the water is fine here, just keep swimmin'. God bless you and yours, Genda Bendte |

| What a great story! I would love a follow up to discover Denise's motivation. Was it just an alcohol accident, or did Denise plan all this. If so, why. Is her husband screaming locked inside that Bimbo body, or is he dead and gone? If the former, can she get him back? Inquiring minds want to know! :-) |

| Although the characterization of the two guys was good the story fails as satire (which I'm assuming it was). The death was forced on the wizerd and was just plain unamusing. I do agree with MV though about changing the story though. Not cool. People will realize it doesn't fit and probably just ignore it for SRU purposes. A full response story would probably have been better, especially one that uses SRU in away that avoids cliches. |
